Jesus is waiting for you to come to Him.
Are you ready?
Here's what to do:
1. Admit you are a sinner.
"For all have sinned, and fallen short of the glory of God;" (Romans 3:23)
2. Be willing to turn from sin (repent).
Jesus said: "I tell you, no; but unless you repent, you too will all perish." (Luke 13:5)
3. Believe that Jesus died for you, was buried, and rose from the dead.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
"That if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9)
4. Through prayer, invite Jesus into your life to become your personal Savior.
"For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." (Romans 10:10)
"For everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13)
Are you ready to invite Jesus into your life? Pray this short prayer:
Dear God, I am a sinner and I need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His precious blood and
died for my sins. I am willing to turn away from my sinful life and I open my heart for Jesus to come in and
be my Savior and the Lord of my life. Thank you for loving me so much, Lord. Amen
Now that you've prayed for salvation, you are a new creature!
"Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creation: old things are passed away; behold, all things have become new." (2 Corinthians 5:17)
Here's what to do next:
1. Read your Bible every day to get to know Christ better.
"Your word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." (Psalms 119:105)
2. Talk to God (pray) every day.
"If you believe, you shall receive whatever you ask for in prayer." (Matthew 21:22)
"Do not be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." (Philippians 4:6)
3. Be baptized, worship, fellowship, and serve with other Christians in a church where Christ is preached and the Bible is the final authority.
"Let us not give up assembling together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching." (Hebrews 10:25)
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness:" (2 Timothy 3:16)
4. Tell others about Christ.
"And he said to them, Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." (Mark 16:15)
